Geography-demography
The geographical coordinates of the Ports are 38 ° 28΄ wide and 25 ° 55΄ East. The nearest settlements are Lemnos to the west (1 km by road), Skariotis to the northeast (1 km in a straight line), Koskinas and Chori to the east, but mainly the main village of the northwestern part of Chios, Volissos . Limia is located 1.5 km south of Volissos. The natural harbor was formed with a small jetty and piers. The port and the coast "look" to the south-southwest, so there is protection from the north winds. Since 2015, it also operates as a tourist boat shelter ("marina"), and is a station of the annual Aegean Regatta race. The beach of Limia is pebbled, without organization. But there are taverns, restaurants, cafes and even bars in the summer.
Administratively, Limia currently belongs to the local community of Volissos (of which they are the second most populous of the eight settlements, then of course Volissos) of the Municipal Unit of Amanis of the Municipality of Chios, in the Regional Unit of Chios of the North Aegean Region. Formerly, completely similarly, it was a settlement of the community of Volissos, the District and the Prefecture of Chios. The postal code of the village is 82103.
The evolution of the Limia population in the official censuses is shown in the table below.
