Kastri (Καστρί) Arkadia

Kastri is a village in Arcadia, located in the hinterland of Kynouria.

Kastritochoria

Kastri or Kastritochoria is a mountainous historical community of Arcadia, which consists of seven villages (village complex) and specifically these are: Agios Nikolaos which is considered Kefalochori, Mesorrachi, Oria, Nea Chora, Elatos, Perdikovrisi and Caratula. [3] In the area is the Monastery of Timios Prodromos, while it is also crossed by the river Tanos. It borders the villages: Agios Petros, Ano Doliana, Vourvoura, Koutroufa and Stolo.

Other information

It used to have a hospital and now has a doctor's office. It was once the only mountain village in the Municipality of North Kynouria that had a Gymnasium and a Lyceum. This is where the governor Petros Tatoulis comes from. [4]

Many residents are engaged in the cultivation of agricultural products such as cherries, chestnuts, walnuts, potatoes and tomatoes.
