Peta (Greek: Πέτα) is a town and a former municipality in the Arta peripheral unit, Epirus, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Nikolaos Skoufas, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit.[1] Population 4,904 (2001). Its 2001 population was 1,916 for the town, 3,896 for the community and 4,904 for the municipal unit. Peta is located north of Amfilochia, northeast of Arta, south-southeast of Ioannina and east of Preveza. The Arachthos River and its reservoir lies to the northwest.
