Filothei (Greek: Φιλοθέη) is a former municipality in the Arta regional unit, Epirus, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Arta, of which it is a municipal unit.[1] Population 5,800 (2001). The seat of the municipality was in Chalkiades.

Division of the municipality

Kirkizates is a municipal district and village of Filothei. The church of Agios Nikolaso tis Rhodias of the village is from the 13th century.

Plisioi is a village of Filothei, known from the old byzantine church (10th century) Agios Dimitrios Katsouris.
