Longa (Λογγά) Karditsa

Longa is a settlement of Karitsa in the prefecture of Karditsa [1], which is located west and south of the artificial lake Plastira at a distance of 23.5 km N.-ND. from Morfovouni (seat of the municipality) and 40 km SW. from Karditsa. North and continuation of the settlement is Agia Marina and to the south passes the torrent Karitsiotis. It is officially reported for the first time in 1991 that it was annexed to the then community of Karitsi Dolopon [2]. According to the Kallikratis plan, together with Karitsa, Agia Marina, Agia Paraskevi, Mega Reuma, Petroto and Rafina, they constitute the local community of Karitsi Dolopon which belongs to the municipal unit of Nevropolis Agrafon of the municipality of Limni Plastira and according to the 2011 census has a population of 4 inhabitants [3].
