Karitsa (Καρίτσα) Karditsa
Karitsa is a mountain village in the prefecture of Karditsa. It is built at an altitude of 1,180 meters [1] on the slopes of Agrafa and is one of the most mountainous settlements in Thessaly. Karitsa belongs to the Municipality of Limni Plastira and its population according to the 2011 census is 56 inhabitants [2]. It is officially reported in 1836 that it was annexed to the then municipality of Ellopia, which belonged to the prefecture of Acarnania and Aetolia. PASOK MP Vassilis Tsilikas and great athletes such as Costas Missas and Elias Missas come from Karitsa.
Local Community of Karitsi Dolopon
It belongs administratively to the Municipality of Lake Plastira, with a total population of 134 inhabitants. Apart from Karitsa, which is its seat, the settlements and villages of Agia Marina (44 inhabitants), Agia Paraskevi (6 inhabitants), Logga (4 inhabitants), Mega Reuma (5 inhabitants), Petroto (1 resident) and Rafina (18 inhabitants) [2].
