Masouraiika or Masoureika or Masureika is a settlement of the Local Community of Kalfa Achaia of the Municipality of Erymanthos in Achaia [1]. In contrast to the rest of the village, it is geographically located in the Prefecture of Ilia [2] [3]. There is the church of Agios Nikolaos (Ai-Nikolas) [4].
It is located at an altitude of about 169 meters. It is about 53.5 km by road from the center of Patras and about 38.5 km from Chalandritsa, the seat of the Municipality of Erymanthos [6].
Historical data
Its name is anthroponymic and comes from the adjective "Masouras" which lives in the area [4]. It is a relatively new settlement. It was recognized as a settlement on 05/04/1981 and since then it has been part of the Kalfa Community in all administrative changes [1] [7].
According to local testimonies, its habitation dates back to after 1900 and the inhabitants of the area came from the mountain village of Verbini [4]. It was only in 1981 that it was independently recorded, while before its inhabitants it was recorded in the population of neighboring Kalfa.

The administrative boundaries of the Regional Units of Achaia and Ilia in the area are the river Pinios. Masouraiika is located downstream of Pinios while Kalfas, the seat of the homonymous local community, is located above it.
