Kranes (Κρανές) Aitoloakarnania
Kranes is a very small settlement in the mountainous Nafpaktia of the prefecture of Aitoloakarnania at an altitude of 760 meters [1]. With the implementation of the Kallikratis program, together with Arachova, it constitutes the Local Community of Arachovi, which belongs to the Municipal Unit of Platanos of the Municipality of Nafpaktia and its population according to the 2011 census is 3 inhabitants [2]. It is located in the north and a short distance from the artificial lake of the river Evinos. It is 74 km north of Nafpaktos and just 5 km from Arachova. It was recognized as a settlement in 1961 when it was annexed to the Arachovi community. In the village there is still a mill that operates with 2 classic millstones and occasionally serves the locals [4].
