Kato Platanos (Κάτω Πλάτανος) Aitoloakarnania
Kato Platanos, Etoloakarnania (formerly Vonorta) is a settlement formed in 6 districts [1], adjacent to Platanos, Aitoloakarnania [2] and belongs to the Municipality of Nafpaktos.
It is a mountain village in an area with a large slope, on the eastern slopes of Mount Alonaki at an altitude of 720 meters [1] [3]. It is surrounded by agricultural and forest areas at an altitude of about 680-750 m and its inhabitants are engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. Its population amounts to 46 inhabitants [4] and is about 5 km away from Platanos. The village through the local road network is connected to the provincial road Nafpaktos-Platanos-Psilos Stavros and the provincial road Thermos-Platanos. It is about 27 km. from Thermo and 47km. from Nafpaktos [1].
The village has common areas near the church, which includes a square, a museum of folk art, a basketball court and a playground.
