Kato Archanes (Κάτω Αρχάναι ) Heraklion
Kato Archanes is a village in the former Temenos District, with a population of 398 inhabitants, according to the 2001 Census. It is built at an altitude of 360m. It belongs to the municipality of Archanes in the prefecture of Heraklion. The temples of the village are Agios Nikolaos and the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. There is a Primary School.

Patsides [160], at an altitude of 250 m. and 98 inhabitants in 1971. The location of the village is on the east side of a verdant valley with vineyards. The inhabitants of this village are also engaged in viticulture (mainly raisins are produced). The church of Agia Paraskevi has a holy temple.
Historical data
The village of Arcanes Catto is mentioned in the census of Kastrofylakas (K 101) with 136 inhabitants and the settlement of Pacidhes Apano and Pacidhes Catto is mentioned in the list of Francesco Basilicata of 1630.
Near the village of Patsides, the kidnapping of the German general Kraipe took place, in which Pavlos Zografistos, originally from this village, also took an active part.
