Olomades, Arkadia

Olomades is a small settlement of the Local Community of Valtesiniko of the Municipality of Gortynia in Arcadia. They are located in the northern part of Mainalo and at an altitude of about 970 meters, north of Valtesiniko, while close to the south is the settlement of Kourouveli.

Population

The population of the settlement is 32 inhabitants according to the national census of 2011 [1], while according to the previous census, that of 2001, it had a population of 52 inhabitants.

Olomades is about by road, approximately: 5.5 km from Valtesiniko, 11 km from Mygdalia - seat of the former Municipality of Kleitoros -, 24 km from Vytina, 26 km from Dimitsana - seat of the Municipality of Gortynia - and 57 km Tripoli [2].

Other information

In Olomades there are two churches, one dedicated to Saint George and one to the Twelve Apostles.
