Megalochari (Μεγαλόχαρη) Arta
Megalochari is a mountain village in Arta, one of the villages that make up Ano Radovyzi. It is located at an altitude of 850 m. And is 62 km away from Arta. The oldest name of the village until 1954 was Botsi, but then it was renamed Megalohari by the name of Panagia which is celebrated in the village. Megalohari belongs to the Municipal Department of the Municipality of G. Karaiskaki where it belongs [1].
In the 2001 census, the population of the Megalochari Community was 343 inhabitants. The settlements of Megalochari are "Agios Georgios", "Lampiri", "Krya Vrysi", "Potistika", "Karyes" and "Afroxylia".
Cultural events
In the village, an annual festival takes place on September 7 and 8, in the church of the Nativity of the Virgin, a building of the 13th century. [3]
