Magoula, Aitoloakarnania

Magoula is a lowland village in the prefecture of Aitoloakarnania at an altitude of 30 meters [1], which is located west of the Acheloos River in the greater area of ​​Neochori. It is 20.5 km west of Messolonghi and 10 km southwest of Aetoliko. As a settlement, it has been officially reported since 1835 that it was annexed to the then municipality of Paracheloitidos. [2] According to the Kallikratis program, together with Neochori and Marmara, they constitute the municipal community of Neochori, Messolonghi, which belongs to the municipal unit of Oiniades of the Holy City of Messolonghi and according to the 2011 census has a population of 422 inhabitants.
