Koryfi (Κορυφή) Xanthi
Koryfi is a mountain village in Thrace in the Regional Unit of Xanthi [1] at an altitude of 545 meters [2], which is located in the center of the former prefecture at a distance of 21 km north of Xanthi and 8 km NE. from Sminthi (seat of the municipality). It is built on the northern slopes of Mount Meletios and on the north of the village passes the river Kosinthos. It is culturally included in Pomakochoria of Xanthi (as well as everything in the area) [3]. As a separate settlement, it is officially mentioned, after the liberation, in 1981 that it was recorded in the then community of Mycenae [4]. According to the Kallikratis Plan, it belongs to the municipal unit of Myki of the Municipality of Myki and according to the 2011 census, it has a population of 10 inhabitants [5].
Note
In the municipality of Mycenae and the community of Satra there was the homonymous settlement Koryfi (formerly Tsoukka - Cuka [6]) which was abolished in 1981 and annexed to Polyskio [7].
