Kokori, Aitoloakarnania

Kokori is a lowland village in the prefecture of Aitoloakarnania at an altitude of 30 meters [1], which is located on the west bank of the river Evinos. The village is built next to the national road Antirriou - Agrinio and south of the Ionian Road. It is 11 km east of Messolonghi and 35 km west of Nafpaktos. As a settlement, it has been included in the Greek censuses since 1971 as part of the then community of Agios Georgios. [2] According to the Kallikratis program, together with Agios Georgios, Koutsocheri and Xiraiika are the local community of Agios Georgios that belongs to the municipal unit of the Holy City of Messolonghi of the Holy City of Messolonghi and according to the 2011 census has a population of 313 inhabitants. [3]
