Kleisoura (Greek: Κλεισούρα) is a municipality in the Kastoria Prefecture, Greece. Population 576 (2001).
Kleisoura (Greek: Κλεισούρα, also Βλαχοκλεισούρα, Vlachokleisoúra; Aromanian: Klisoura) is a traditionally Aromanian (Vlach) settlement and a former municipality in Kastoria peripheral unit, West Macedonia, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Kastoria, of which it is a municipal unit.[1] Population 576 (2001). On 5 May 1944, the German occupation forces executed 216 inhabitants.
Prominent people
Army General Constantine Lianis (Κωνσταντίνος Λιάνης), a war hero and one of the founders of the Greek secret services (KYP), originated from Kleisoura. His daughter is Dimitra Liani (Δήμητρα Λιάνη), who became first a lover, and then the third and last wife of Prime Minister Andreas Papandreou.
