Kedros (Κέδρος) Karditsa
Kedros is a village in the prefecture of Karditsa. It belongs administratively to the Municipality of Sofada in the Region of Thessaly (Kallikratis program). According to the 2011 census it had 682 inhabitants.
It is located on the provincial road Karditsa-Smokovo, two kilometers after the intersection for Loutro. It is 23 km from the city of Karditsa. The village is built under the roof of "Katachloro" and is full of plane trees and cedars. Next to the village flows the river Onohonos or Sofaditis [2], from the springs of which the artificial lake Smokovou was created, a life-giver of the area but also of the whole route until it finds the river Pinios.
The inhabitants are engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. Cotton, wheat, corn, clover and fruits and vegetables are mainly grown.
