Kampos (Κάμπος) Arta
Kampos is a small settlement of the Municipality of Arta with 28 permanent residents (2011 census), in the mountains of Arta and is about 32 km away from the city. [1]
According to the Kapodistrias Plan, Kampos existed until the end of 2010, a settlement of the Municipality of Xirovouni with its seat in the Famagusta. Based on the new administrative division provided by the Kallikratis Plan, the settlement was included in the Municipality of Arta. [2] Kampos together with Skoupa, Kardamos, Tsiapalaika, Paleochori, Platanakia and Fraxos constitute the local community of Skoupa with a total population of 143 inhabitants.
Administrative changes
The settlement was recognized in 1961 and annexed to the community of Skoupa while in 1974 it was detached from the province of Nikopoleos and Parga of the prefecture of Preveza and joined the province of Arta of the prefecture of Arta. In 1997 Kambos joined the municipality of Xirovouni and in 2010 the municipality of Arta. [3]
Location and Access
Kampos is adjacent to the settlements of the local community of Skoupa and Sumesi. [4]
