Filippiada or Philippiada (Φιλιππιάδα) was a former municipality in the Preveza Prefecture, Greece. Population 8429 (2001).
Filippiada is also a small city of the municipality, the second smallest city in the Preveza prefecture with a population 4195 (2001). The name means love of horses. Filippiada is divided into smaller regions entailing Old Filippiada, New Filippiada, and Elefterochori. In ancient times, Filippiada was known as Charadron (Greek: Χάραδρον) during the 8th and 7th centuries BC. There are many sites such as Saint Bessarion Church, the monument in honor of the Bizanomachoi (Greek: Μπιζανομάχων), Lake Ziros (Greek: Ζηρού), the town square, the square of Pelargon (Greek: Πελαργών), beautiful forests and plains. There are many cafes, taverns, clubs, bars, hotels, and many grocery shops.

Information
Much of the houses were stone built until the 1960s. Electricity arrived in the same year. Vehicles arrived in the 1970s, the pavement of the main road and television arrived in the 1980s and computer and internet are rarely known in the beginning of the 21st century and up to date technology are not seen.
Filippiada is connected with the GR-5/E55 (Antirrio - Agrinio - Arta - Ioannina) and the GR-21 with Preveza.
