Esovalta (Εσώβαλτα) Pella
Esovalta is a village of the Municipality of Pella, of the Regional Unit of Pella, of the Region of Central Macedonia. It is located in the southern part of the prefecture, at an altitude of 10 m. The population of Esovalton according to the 2011 census is 862 inhabitants and the local community of Esovalton (which includes Stavrodromi) 1348 inhabitants. According to the oldest censuses, their population was 985 inhabitants (189), 988 in 1991 and 989 in 2001. [1]
The area of the village is 21,006 acres. The inhabitants are mainly engaged in the cultivation of greenhouses (whose products are known for their quality) and arboriculture.
"Konaki Bei" is kept in the center. According to oral testimonies, it was the home of Emin Bey, the local tsiflikouchos. After 1912 he housed the community store of the Introverts. Restoration work is currently underway to save and house the village's folklore collection. [2]
