Paltsi (Πάλτση ) Magnisia

Paltsi is a small lowland settlement in the prefecture of Magnesia at an altitude of 150 meters.

Geography

Paltsi is located in SE Pelion, on the Aegean side, overlooking Skiathos 13 km from the village of Argalasti and 53 km from Volos. There are many beaches in the area, the most famous of which is Agios Konstantinos where there is no infrastructure for organized beach and it gathers less people from the neighboring beaches, due to more difficult access. In recent years, rooms for rent and restaurants have been built on the beach. On September 5 and 6, a festival is held in memory of the Holy Brigadiers. From the village there is a path that leads to the village of Lafko. The journey takes about 2.5 hours and is very enjoyable.

Administratively

According to the Kallikratis plan, Paltsi belongs to the local community of Argalasti, which belongs to the municipal unit of Argalastis of the Municipality of South Pelion and according to the 2011 census has a population of 48 inhabitants [4]. It was recognized as a settlement in 1971 and annexed to the then Argalasti community.
