Olympos (Greek: Όλυμπος) is a former municipality in the Larissa regional unit, Thessaly, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Elassona, of which it is a municipal unit.[1] Population 3,588 (2001). The seat of the municipality was in Kallithea. The municipality was named after the nation's tallest summit, Mount Olympus. Olympos is linked with the GR-3 or the E65 and the GR-13 (Elassona - Katerini). One of the municipalities bounded is Elassonas to the southwest. The Pieria prefecture along with Kato Olympos is to the northeast.

Geography
The municipality are made up of mountains covering the area with forests in the western and the central parts as well as grasslands. The eastern part are barren and unvegetated with Mount Olympus to the east. Kallithea is situated in a valley area, forests dominate much of the area, farmlands and groves dominate the valley areas as well as most of its hilly areas.
