Lampero (Λαμπερόν) Karditsa
Lampero is a village in the prefecture of Karditsa in the Municipality of Lake Plastira, as it was established according to the Kallikratis Program. From 1999 to 2010, according to the Kapodistrias Plan, it belonged administratively to D.D. Brilliant of the older Municipality of Plastira. It is located 25 km from Karditsa and is built at an altitude of 745 meters. Its population is 235 according to the 2011 Census. [1] The villagers are mainly engaged in animal husbandry, beekeeping and tourism.
The old name of the village was Titai. During the conquest of the Franks, reference is made to Mega Titai, as the largest village of Agrafa at that time. It is the home of Captain Agrafiotis, who led the revolution of 1821. The village celebrates the 15th of August.
Local Community of Lamperou
It belongs administratively to the Municipality of Lake Plastira, with a total population of 559 inhabitants. It includes, in addition to Lamperos, which is its seat, Agios Athanasios with 324 inhabitants during the 2011 Census.
