Lafka (Λαύκα) Korinthia
Lafka is a mountain village located in the Prefecture of Corinth and belongs to the Municipality of Sikyonia. To the west is the Municipality of Feneos. In the south of the village are the prefectures of Arcadia and Argolis and southwest of Kiato (47 km). The name of the village comes from the Turkish occupation, it is probable that it was taken from a resident of his who was called Lavka. The original location of the village is in the "old-Lafka" where today the adjacent spring of Temiza is located. This village was created before the revolution of 1821. On 28-4-1834, by order of Ioannis Kolettis, Lafka became the Municipality of the 3rd class under the name of the Municipality of Orexi. On 27-11-1840, this Municipality was abolished by a royal decision and the village was included in the Municipality of Stymfalia. Lafka has 362 inhabitants (2011 census) [2] who are mainly engaged in agricultural work.
