Elatia (Greek: Ελάτια) is a former municipality on the island of Zakynthos, Ionian Islands, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Zakynthos, of which it is a municipal unit.[1] It is located in the northwestern part of the island. With a land area of 111.412 km², it is the largest municipal unit on Zakynthos, comprising about 27 percent of its area. Its population was 2,503 at the 2001 census. The seat of the municipality was in the town of Volimes (pop. 644). The next largest towns are Maríes (367), Áno Volímes (320), and Orthoniés (249).

Anafonitria
Anafonitria is a village c. 30 km NW from Zankynthos city named after the monastery Panagia Anafonitrias, the place of the monk and Saint Dionysios.
Orthonies
Orthonies is a village 26 km NW from Zakynthos city. Near Orthonies is the monastery Panagias Spiliotissas build around 1550.
Volimes
Volimes is a village c. 30 km NW from Zakynthos city. Near Volimes is the monastery Agios Georgios build around 1550 by the monks Varlaam and Makarios.
