Achladochori (Αχλαδοχώρι) Pella
Achladochori is a village located in the prefecture of Pella. It is between Aravyssos and the Neos Mylotopos.It has a population of 417 inhabitants according to the 2001 census. The village is located at the foot of Mount Paiko.
History
Most residents are from Thrace. After 1922, the refugees left the villages of Bair and Pergaz in the Kallipoli region of Turkey and initially stayed in Preveza. Later they settled in Achladochori, which the Turks called the village of Kislar, while in 1950 it was renamed from Kislar to Mandares. The new name is now Achladochori because it had many pears. There are no more pears but only peaches.
