Achladochori (Αχλαδοχώρι) Messinia
Achladochori is a village in the Municipality of Messina, belongs to the Regional Unit of Messinia [1] and has 135 inhabitants, according to the 2011 Census. [2]
Location
Achladochori belongs to the Community of Achladochori and belongs to the Municipal Unit of Petalidi. It is located at an altitude of 269 meters [3] and until 1927 it was called Haikali. [4] It is 3.5 km from Kalamaki and the beach and 9 km from Petalidi. [5]
Administrative changes
21-04-1835, the settlement of Haikali is annexed to the Municipality of Koroni, [6] based in Petalidi.
07-06-1890, [7] the settlement of Haikali is detached from the Municipality of Koroni and annexed to the Municipality of Apeia, [8] based in Logga.
31-08-1912, [9] the settlement of Haikali is detached from the Municipality of Koroni and is designated the seat of the Community of Haikali.
22-12-1927, [10] the settlement of Haikali is renamed Achladochori. [11]
04-12-1997, [12] the settlement of Achladochori is detached from the Community of Achladochori [13] and is attached to the Municipality of Petalidi. [14]
07-06-2010, [15] the settlement of Achladochori is detached from the Municipality of Petalidi and annexed to the Municipality of Messina. [16]
