Στα μαθηματικά, τα πολυώνυμα Al-Salam – Carlitz U(a)n(x;q) και V(a)n(x;q) είναι δύο οικογένειες βασικών υπεργεωμετρικών ορθογώνιων πολυωνύμων στο βασικό σχήμα Askey, που εισήγαγε ο Al-Salam και Carlitz (1965). Οι Roelof Koekoek, Peter A. Lesky και René F. Swarttouw (2010, 14.24, 14.25) δίνουν μια λεπτομερή λίστα των ιδιοτήτων τους.
