Triandria (Greek: Τριανδρία) is a suburb of the Thessaloniki Urban Area and was a former municipality in the peripheral unit of Thessaloniki, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Thessaloniki, of which it is a municipal unit.[1] It is located east of Thessaloniki's city centre at an elevation of 70m. It is bounded by the Kaftanzoglio Stadium on the south-west, the districts of Saranta Ekklisies at north-west and of Ano Toumpa at east.

Triandria is accessed by the Thessaloniki ring road motorway from (Interchange K8) from its west and the Toumpa Interchange (Interchange K8) to the east. The suburb (borough) is named after the World War I-era "Triumvirate of National Defence" (in Greek: Τριανδρία της Εθνικής Αμύνης), comprising the statesman Eleftherios Venizelos, together with Admiral Pavlos Koundouriotis and General Panagiotis Danglis.

Other

Triandria has four elementary schools, two gymnasiums, a lyceum (highschools), basketball grounds and a soccer field both home to local team Achilleas Triandrias. There is also a church of Agios Spyridonas, the biggest in honor of the Saint outside the island of Corfu where he is considered a patron saint.
