Porto Germeno ( also known as Aegosthena or Aigosthena, Αιγόσθενα) is a resort area located on the west side of Attica prefecture on the northeast coast of the Corinthian Gulf. It occupies the site of the ancient city of Aegosthena near Psatha and Agios Vassilios.

The area is covered with pine and olive trees and offers views of the Gulf of Corinth, beaches, and one hotel (the Egosthenio) where a pool and taverns are available.

Nearby is the fortress of Aigosthena which dates from the 3rd century BC and is considered to be one of the best-preserved ancient castles in Greece. Due to its position on the borders of Attica, it changed hands several times, shifting betweent the Athenians and the Megarians. It once belonged to the Achaean League and, for a while, to the Boeotian League. Near the gate of the north section are the ruins of a five-aisled basilica with a mosaic floor, which dates from the 5th century AD. Structures from the medieval period include a series of cells on the local "acropolis", the remains of a monastery and a small church dedicated to Saint George, which is still in use.
