Nea Kotyli is a mountainous settlement in the prefecture of Kastoria. It is built at an altitude of 1450 meters and is located in the western part of the prefecture, in the East of the peak Pyrgos (the highest of Mount Voio), SW of the city of Kastoria. [2] The settlement was created in the early 1950s by residents of Kotyli who left their village that had suffered significant damage during World War II and the Greek Civil War to which landslides were added.
