Mouzaki (Μουζάκι) Ilia
Mouzaki is a village and seat of the homonymous Local Community of the Prefecture of Ilia and is located 23.38 km northeast of the city of Pyrgos at an altitude of 299 meters. Administratively, it belongs to the Municipal Unit of Oleni of the Municipality of Pyrgos and has 449 permanent residents according to the 2011 census [1]. The Local Community borders the Local Community of Koutsochera. Also close to it is the Monastery of Nikovas while to its northeast is Goumero.
History - Administrative changes
On 04/20/1835, it was annexed to the then Municipality of Goumerion and designated as its seat. The Government Gazette 5A of 08/03/1841 detaches the settlement from the Municipality of Goumeria and annexes it to the then Municipality of Olenis [2]. With Government Gazette 256A of 28/08/1912 it is defined as the seat of the homonymous community [2] [3]. With the Government Gazette 244A of 04/12/1997, according to the Administrative Reform of "Kapodistrias", it is attached to the Municipality of Oleni until 2010 that joined the Municipality of Pyrgos (Government Gazette 87A - 07/06/2010) based on the Administrative Reform "Kallikratis" [ 2].
The settlement of Mouziaki was two hours' drive in 1885 from Landsoi, the seat of the then Municipality of Olena [4].

Other information
In recent years, problems have been identified in the rural area with rural road construction and the sinking of part of it.
