Leka (Λέκα) Samos
Lekka or Leka is a village in Samos. Administratively it belongs to the municipality of Samos of the Regional Unit of Samos. According to the 2011 census, it has 408 inhabitants. [2] The name comes from the first inhabitant of the village, named Ioannis Lekkas, who came to Samos to escape the persecution of the Turks. The village was created in 1715. At the end of the 18th century the inhabitants of the village founded two settlements one southeast of the village at a distance of 2km, with the name Morias. The second settlement that belongs to the village of Lekka, at a distance of 1.5km northwest of the village. It has existed since 1828 and was named Tsourlaios by the first inhabitant, named Stamoulos Sourlis. In the 2011 census it had 12 permanent residents.
