Kastri (Καστρίο) Preveza

Kastri (Kastrion, the) is a settlement of Gorgomylos in the Prefecture of Preveza and belongs to the municipality of Ziros.

It is located 7.4 km south of N. Gorgomylos and 25 km northwest of Arta. It is 13 kilometers away from the city of Philippi, the seat of the Municipality of Ziros. It is the newest settlement of Gorgomylos and for a long time it functioned as a wintering place (winter) for the inhabitants of Old Gorgomylos.

According to the 2011 census, there are 102 inhabitants in the settlement [1], while in 2001 144 inhabitants were registered. Its name is directly related to the Castles - ancient Orraon located south of the settlement.
