Karyes (Greek: Καρυές, also known as Arachova) is a village and a former community in Laconia, Peloponnese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Sparti, of which it is a municipal unit.[1] It is located roughly midway between Tripoli and Sparti. Population 926 (2001).
