Karditsomagoula (Καρδιτσομαγούλα) Karditsa

Karditsomagoula is a town in the prefecture of Karditsa. It is a homonymous Local Department of the Municipality of Karditsa. It has a real population of 2,063, according to the 2011 Greek census.

Karditsomagoula is located north and very close to the city of Karditsa, about 3 km from the center.

Bridge

The Karditsomagoulas Bridge dates back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is located in the place "Prokovas". It bridges the riverbed of the river Pamisos and in the past all the villages of the former Municipality of Sellanos with the neighboring Karditsa communicated through it. It is two-arched, with each arch having an opening of 12 meters and a height of 2.1 m. In 1993 it was characterized as a historical monument.

Sport

The Heraklion Karditsomagoulas Sports Club, based in 1966 and representing the region in football, is based in Karditsommagoula. It belongs to the power of the football clubs of Ε.Π.Σ. Karditsa, [16] having in fact been its founding association in 1968. [17] He constantly competes in the local EPS championships. Karditsa having as its greatest distinction its presence in the 4th National, where it played in the 1997-98 season.
