Historical data
The oldest name of Kallithea was Metochi of Babalis, from the name of the Turkish owner. The same name is mentioned in the 1920 census with 107 inhabitants. The current population originates from the Plateau as well as from the village of Gonies Pediados.
The Henniger factory and the electronics factory have been established near the settlement in recent decades.
Prassas does not refer to old censuses. Its etymology is from the word prasa, ie prasia, as the nursery in Crete is called. Therefore, the name Prassas (Prassas) is considered incorrect [1].
In 1583 Cartero [2] is mentioned with 179 inhabitants.
