Elikistra (Ελικίστρα) Achaia
Elikistra (alternatively: Elikystra) is a settlement of Achaia and is the seat of the homonymous local community of the municipality of Patras [1] [2]. According to the 2011 national census, Elexistra had a permanent population of 275 inhabitants, while the homonymous local community had a population of 1,538 permanent residents.
Location
The settlement is built in a semi-mountainous area, at an altitude of about 380 meters, at the western foot of Mount Panachaikos and east of the city of Patras. It is adjacent to Karya, Neo Souli, Riganokampos, Ryaki, Romanos and Pournarokastro and is approximately 10 km by road from the center of Patras while an average transfer time to and from it is about 20 minutes.
