A Summer Idle
John Absolon (1815 – May 5, 1895) was a British watercolor painter, born in London in 1815. He studied in London and then Paris.
Absolon also created landscapes, portraying scenes from Switzerland and Italy.

First night in the monastery, Dopscen (1856)
Coast scene, Normandy (1860; Victoria and Albert Museum, London) [1]
Goldsmith workshop (1860)
