Spintharus (gr. Spintharos), a Corinthian architect, who commenced the rebuilding of the great temple at Delphi, after its destruction by fire in Ol. 58. 1, 548 BC (Paus. x. 5. 5.) The temple was not, however, finished till Ol. 75, 480 BC ; so that the architect could scarcely have lived to see the completion of the work
