Phoenix (gr. Phoinix), a sculptor, of unknown country, was the pupil of Lysippus, and therefore tlourished about Olympiad 120, or 300 BC. He made a celebrated statue of the Olympic victor boxing, Epitherses. (Pliny H. N. xxxiv. 8. s. 19. § 20 ; Paus. vi. 15. 3.)
