Giorgos Kimoulis (Γιώργος Κιμούλης, September 18, 1956) is a Greek actor, director and translator.
Biographical data
He was born in Piraeus on September 18, 1956. He first appeared professionally in the theater in 1977 with the theatrical group "Elefthero Theater". In 1986 he set up his own theater group, "Athens Contemporary Theater". In 1996 he founded a drama school. He is a member of the "Greek Actors' Association" - which he has previously held as Vice President - and a member of the "Greek Theatrical Society".
He has been married and has split twice. His first wife was the singer Margarita Zorbala and his second wife the Greek politician Maria Damanaki, with which he has a daughter, Marianna.
Since October 2016, he has been a member of the Dialogue Committee on Constitutional Review. On February 28, 2017, he was appointed president of the Center for Culture of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and resigned from this post a few days later on March 16.
