Giorgos Dedes (born 15 December 1942) is a former Greek footballer.
Career
Born in Athens, Dedes was a fast forward player with great flexibility in his play as well as a great ball shooter. He was twice the leading scorer in the Greek championship in 1971 with 28 goals (third in Europe), and in 1976 with 15 goals. He started with the team of Panionios in 1961 and he played with AEK Athens FC for many years. He finished his career in Nea Smirni having scored 181 times in 430 games in Greek Championship matches. He has played for the Greece national football team 20 times (7 goals) from 1966 to 1973.[1]
Records
He is one of the few player who have scored five goal in a single Greek Super League game. He did so in Panionios' 8-0 win against Olympiakos Nicosias during the 1969–70 season.
