George Stavros Livanos (often confused with his distant relative George Peter Livanos) is the sole son of Stavros G. Livanos and his wife Arietta. Born in 1934, George S. Livanos had two sisters, Eugenia and Athina, who both married Stavros Niarchos, though Athina's first husband was Aristotle Onassis. Livanos was the third and youngest child of his parents.
Livanos is the great-uncle of Athina Roussel Onassis de Miranda. Onassis de Miranda was a bridesmaid at his daughter Arietta's wedding.,[1][2] Onassis de Miranda was also a bridesmaid at the wedding of his daughter Eugenie.[3]
Livanos is extremely private, and his profile is so low that many websites mistake information for "George P. Livanos" as applicable to him. In fact, George Stavros Livanos and George Peter Livanos are entirely separate people and barely, if at all, related.
In 1966, Livanos married Lita Voivoda at St. Sophia Cathedral in London. They have four daughters: Arietta, Eugenie, Marina and Christina and a son, Stavros. Arietta married with Georgios Vardinoyannis,Eugenie is the wife of the French banker Nicholas Clive-Worms[4] and Marina's husband is the Greek art collector, Andreas Martinos.[5]
