Elatreus (ancient Greek Ἐλατρεύς) is a person from Greek mythology.
In Homer's Odyssey, he is one of the Phaeacians who take part in an agon in honor of Odysseus. After Odysseus lands on the coast of Scherias, the land of the Phaiacs, Alcinous and Arete promise to bring him back to Ithaca. Before that, an agon is held in his honor, in which Elatreus, Akroneus, Ocyalus, Nauteus, Prymneus, Anchialus, Eretmeus, Anabesineus, Ponteus, Thoon, Amphialus, Euryalus, Naubolides and finally the three sons of Alcinous Laodamas, Halius and Clytoneus take part. [1] He emerged from the competitions as the winner in the discus throw. [2]
