In Greek mythology, Aglaope[1][2] (Ancient Greek: Ἀγλαόπη), also called Aglaopheme[3] (Ἀγλαοφήμη) and Aglaophonos[4] (Ἀγλαόφωνος), is the name of one of the Sirens. Her name means "with lambent voice". Aglaope was attested as a daughter of the river-god Achelous and the Muse Melpomene[1][5] or her sister Terpsichore[6][7] or Sterope, daughter of King Porthaon of Calydon.[8] She may have two or one sister(s), namely Peisinoe[2] or Molpe[4], or just Thelxiepeia[2][3] or Thelxinoe[4].
