The Sculptures of the pediment, the subject of which was the Fall of Troy, were carved by the sculptor Hektoridas. The figures are in a highly fragmentary state of preservation, and their position on the pediment has not been firmly established
The central group of the pediment has not been preserved. One of the main figures was Priam, the king of Troy (inv. no 144) beeing dragged by the hair by a Greek warrior, probably Neoptolemus(inv. no. 4701). Priam's daughter, Cassandra (inv. no. 4681) who had prophetiv powers, is shown clinging to the Palladion, the cult status of the goddess Athena (inv. no. 4680), as a suppliant.
The rest of the pediment was occupied by female figures some are Trojan women, clashing with Achaeans (inv. no 148, 469 / 147, 4706, 4686 /4570, 146 B) while others (inv. no. 4749, 4642, 146) attempt to escape their attackers.
The central akroterion of the pediment is a group depicting the abduction of the Nymph Koronis by Apollon (inv. no. 4723), to whom she bore Asklepios, while the side akroteria depict winged figures on Nike (inv. nos. 163, 4761, 4751)
