Found in the Olympieion, Athens. The goat-footed god sits
cross-legged on a rock covered with an animal pelt. He will have
held the pan-pipe on his hands.
Work carved in the 2nd c. BC. copying an earlier original
probably of the 4th cent. B.C.

Gefunden im Olympieion in Athen. Der Ziegen-fuessige Gott sitzt im
Schneidersitz auf einem Felsen mit einem Tierfell bedeckt. Er hielt die Pan-Floette mit seinen Händen.
Werk aus den 2ten Jh v. Chr., nach einer Kopie eines früheren Originals
wahrscheinlich vom 4. Jh. V.Chr.
