Seated in a elegant throne, holds a stringed instrumentm
lyre or harp (trigonon). Musician are mainly 'harpists' and rarely
play wind instruments. Elaborate three-dimensional statuettes were
carved in organized workshops equipped with bronzed tools.
Numerous artifacts of ritual significance (marble figurines and vessels)
have been found on the island of Keros.
The flutist and the harpist are thought to come from the same grave on Keron
Early Cycladic II, 2800 - 2300 B.C.
