The American Foundation for Greek Language and Culture is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation, incorporated in the State of Florida, whose mission is to foster the creation of Interdisciplinary Centers for Hellenic Studies (ICHS)[1] at institutions of higher learning. These ICHS centers, of which two have been established thus far (University of South Florida-ICHS[2] and Richard Stockton College-ICHS[3]), comprise typically five endowed professorships, with this construct ensuring that the host institution will be able to offer Hellenic educational subject matter in perpetuity.
